At this point of the relationship between the Canucks and Lou any return on top of getting out from under that contract is pure gravy so I don't think the Canucks did too bad getting back what they did.

Florida makes sense. With the cap going up they need to hit whatever the new floor is...
This reminds me a few years ago of when they signed a bunch of stupid contracts (like JovoCop) because they needed to hit the cap floor.
And Vancouver really needed to move on from Lu...it's just too bad they couldn't have done this a year ago and maintained Schneider.
