I'd probably gamble on Read and Brown. Both their teams will need to keep the pedal to the floor to stay in/make it to the post season and they are both usually in the top 6.
Trying to hang onto my lead in a salary cap league (pts only). It is a keeper but I'm most concerned about this season as I wouldn't consider any of these guys part of my strong core.
Desharnais 3.5
Ennis 2.8
Vrbata 3
MacArthur 3.25
Grabner 2.25
Chiasson 0.9
C.Wilson 2.0
D.Brown 2.4
McGinn 1.4
C.Smith 2.0
Hanzal 3.1
Frolik 2.3
Tlusty 1.6
Grabovski 3.0
M.Read 2.0
J.Jokinen 2.1
Currently have Chiasson and Wilson but with 1.5mil in extra cap space (so 4.4mil total) and some picks/prospects I'm willing to give up I'd like to strengthen my team before the deadline.
Any advice is appreciated ie picking ones you especially like, dislike, ranking, or choosing your favorite pairs for 4.4mil or less.
Thanks in advance

My pairing of choice for 4.4 or under would be Craig Smith and Jussi Jokinen.
If you want other options, Desharnais is clicking quite well with Mac Pac, he could be good for a while. Ennis has also turned it up a notch, his year-long numbers still look dismal, but he's actually got 15 pts in his past 17 games. I might try Desharnais with Chiasson (he's the only second you can fit - you might find rookies or other ELs that are scoring at a better clip right now). I might go Ennis and either McGinn or Tlusty for another pairing. But I think for the money, Smith & Jokinen is the way to go.

I like Jokinen and Ennis here. Jokinen will produce, he's along for the ride with the monsters and will put up points. Ennis has cranked it up and with nothing to lose down the stretch the numbers should be good. A dark horse here is Grabner, he's absolutely on fire. Whether that continues is uncertain but he may well be worth taking a chance on.

Thanks.
I guess Jokinen's current owner has him for 1.6 due to some previous transactions so I've begun trade talks to acquire him.
Chiasson can be sent back to the farm and I could simply pick Brown or Grabner up from waivers or keep exploring trades for some of the others listed.
Palmieri is another guy I might trade BUT I do like him because Anaheim plays so many off days that as of now I won't have to sit any skaters the rest of the year.
