Default Cash in on Nyquist? REP

Holding steady with a semi-comfortable lead in a competitive roto league..

Working on a deal to send Nyquist and Downie and a mid round pick to the 4th place manager for Galchenyuk. What you boys think? Safe go?

The reason i am hesitant is because of the 'by committee' style scoring they always seem to have in Montreal.. Do you think Galch will break that mould and one day be a point per game guy? Would be the first time since Alex Kovalev in 2008..

Will rep the quality responses... Might be a bit of delay because i think u only get a certain amount per 24hrs.

Hell yes. Upside alone is enough to do this deal. Montreal scores by committee because they have no elite talents. That all changes when Galchenyuk reaches his potential. 3rd overall pick... big upside... you know the Habs are going to give him every opportunity to be a franchise guy.

My biggest concern is injury. Serious one in his draft year and another substantial absence this season. I know they weren't related, but it still raises a flag for me. Just not enough of one to not do the deal!

Hit accept and then figure out who he replaces on your keeper list (I vote Krug).

As a Nyquist owner, I would take that gamble and acquire Galchenyuk. It's a slim upgrade IMO, but since both players are still raw, I will go for the one that has the slightly higher potential (even if both players are pretty close in terms of talent and upside).

Forget about the ''scoring by committee in Montreal'' aspect. The Habs need points to win games and AG will give them just that.

Unless your mid-round pick can get you a quality player, I would do this deal (Downie is a non-factor here for me).

I actually think Nyquist will be in a better situation moving forward. I'd keep "Goose" and the draft pick.
