    I...am your father.

Default How are you doing in Dobbernomics?

I'm 624th in the world, value of $51.97 million.

Starting to get the hang of it again. I hadn't played since Small World and had forgotten some of the tricks.

I think I'm about 4th or 5th in the Dobber Forums league.
A team called "Leafs3" is running away with our small league and is top 50 overall. Pretty solid.
He also has about a $60m payroll, which is up there with the global leaders.

My own team is around $54m, 4th in our league, in the 100s overall.

I'm really good at focusing on schedule density, but that along doesn't seem to cut it in this league.
Somebody said (and I believe they got it right) that you really need to spend the first half of the year riding the "stock market" and working on increasing team value by buying & selling with (or ahead of) the masses.

Unfortunately, I should have jumped on guys like Alex Steen way sooner than I have.
I've done a great job on owning Stamkos, Crosby, Malkin, Neal, and Getzlaf during their hot spells.

I've had terrible luck with goalies (in all pools, this one included) as I've shelled out $9m to own guys like Rask, Lundqvist, Fleury, and Jimmy Howard when I really should have been riding Halak, Harding, Varlamov, and Scrivens... like the teams bankrolling it.

Well, part of the learning curve.
Right now my team is loaded up with Penguins, Fleury, and Halak.
I've also been riding the Torey Krug train all year and jumped on Nyquist when he debuted - though I'm a bit shocked that at his $0.50m introductory price he hasn't risen any higher than about $0.70m to this point.

    Sort of fun.
The hardest part is that my mindset isn't into checking my team daily.
I log-in about twice a week and make a few moves.

It's a little too difficult in that I haven't figured out how to view schedule density of the guys I want to "BUY" and I have to use other sites like LWL or Yahoo to view other team's upcoming schedules.

    Still, pretty fun little game.
    I'd give it a 7/10 on my game-enjoyment scale.
