I'd take each one ahead of anyone in 2015 right now. They've still got over a year and a half of NHL play to go before anyone from 2015 even sniffs the NHL. They will all have had three years of NHL experience before anyone from 2015 touches NHL ice. All of those guys could have broken out before you get anything out of a 2015 draft choice.

I would take MacDavid over ALL of them without any hesitation.

    1.Mcdavid
    2.Huburdeu
    3.Yakupov
    4.Granlund

Mcdavid is so young yet and is going to be a truly dominant player in the NHL more so than all the others mentioned. The only way Mcdavid isn't a dominant player is if he lands on Edmonton.

Well, Sparrow didn't give any details about league set-up so I wasn't assuming anything.
Simply by player value, I would take McDavid over all of them, easy.
Would have to know more details to make any other comments, though I still couldn't imagine taking any of them over McDavid.
He is a player you make an exception to the rule for.

He literally is but in a vacuum I'm taking a year and a half of any top young prospect ahead of waiting for McDavid. If the question was about who will be the best talent - McDavid sure. As for who I want on my fantasy squad or since sparrow isn't necessarily concerned with fantasy who I'd rather see on my favourite NHL team, I'll take any of these guys over McDavid because I don't want to wait that long when anything can happen.

Well who I want on my favorite NHL team is McDavid.. Players THIS good ARE worth the wait. It's not even that long.. I would probably rather have McDavid over all 3 of the others combined. If he pans out to be as good as the other highly touted first overalls not on Edmonton then you're looking at players like Ovechkin, Crosby, Stamkos, Tavares ... I don't see the other 3 players in question ever remotely comparing to those 4 just mentioned.

Hey it's just my opinion, but I'll take the franchise calibre player over the other high end picks any day of the week.

Its not the players Edmonton drafted.. They drafted players that would be excelling huge on any other team. The fact they got so many # 1's is a blessing and a curse. They now have a bunch of kids playing against men. Look at all the other successful number 1's and who they play with... MEN, guys with experience who work to their skills and help them become better players. Edmonton have a bunch of guys drafter number 1 who want themselves to be the next big #1 pick not their line mate.

People will disagree with me, but I think any one of those kids on a different team would be far more successful.

I would rank them as such

    Mcdavid
    Eichel
    Hub's
    Yak
Barzal (should really be higher but...)
    Granlund

I think that there's a lot of truth to this. I don't think they're doing a lot to bring each other along.

Edmonton might have been well-advised to have traded a couple those picks for more established players, but they probably would not have wanted to pay those players.
