Default Multi player trade. Going for win

    Fantrax team in sig:

    His
    Luongo, Roberto:
    Lack, Eddie:
    Johansson, Marcus

    My
    Huberdeau, Jonathan
    Schwartz, Jaden
    Elliott, Brian

He wants Elliott. The Vancouver duo is enticing but not as if that is a good team right now. I'm top of my division, going for the win and have been riding Price with Elliott as a back-up. I do have Stalock, Johnson and Talbot on my Farm though and use them when they are getting starts. We start one G a day.

Is this worth doing? I'm leaning towards no.

I wouldn't. Is Johansson even an upgrade on Schwartz at this point? I doubt it. I don't think adding Luongo helps you that much, especially given you don't seem to have the greatest forward depth.

I would do it. If St. Louis brings in a goalie ( Miller) Elliott's value drops a lot. Perhaps you could follow this deal and trade Lack.

It really solidifies your goaltending for the cost of young players not contributing substantially to your team this year. If you are comfortable that you can hang on with only one legitimate starter then stay pat. If you feel you need the insurance then this deal would do that.

I like it. I'm a Blues' fan and I don't see Elliott as a #1 goalie. With this trade, you solidify your goalie situation with Luongo and also get his handcuff.

Hah, ok, Was expecting a bunch of "no's" to this. I know Hubs will come good, but it's a question of when. And I like Schwartz a lot and getting another C in just adds to my raft of fairly average players on that position.

I might see of I can swap the C for Kreiji or Staal. Leaves me with Marleau and Kane as my LW as well.

Count me among those who thinks Dallas knocks VanCity out of the playoffs, which also means Van keeps losing. If you subscribe to that theory, than Luongo doesn't help you this year and you definitely lose long term

I'd try to do the deal without giving up Schwartz. See if he'll do the two VAN goalies for Huberdeau/Elliott...I'd do that. As it is I'm not a fan of losing both Schwartz and Huberdeau.

Huberdeau alone should be more than enough for him to make this deal.

Yeah I am thinking losing both LW is too much. Hubs ends up a star, so long-term I lose I think even if I get Luongo and Lack BUT it could help me win this year.

Only thing I am not sure about is that on the nights Price is not playing, normally one of Elliott, Stalock, Johnson or Talbot is playing. And they tend to get results. So I am not sure how much value the Canucks twosome is. On the other hand, if Price gets hurt I have no other regular starter on my roster.

Guess this is why fantasy hockey is a gamble!

Ok so it has come down to:

    My Hubs, Descharnais and Elliott

    His Krejci, Luongo

With the news about Kesler, I am thinking of pulling the plug on this (he's thinking about it). And just go with Price and then Johnson, Stalock, Elliott and Talbot in rotation (Johnson and Talbiot already both getting a start this week.) I like the upgrade at C for Krejci though.

    What do you guys think?

Ok, hopefully all you US/Canadian types have woken up now. I have no clue on this one. If Kessler goes, does this basically kill Luongo as an effective G this year (thus negating the Krejci upgrade as I lose Hubs and Elliott for him)?

You have Price, Rask, and crawford (gets W's). You don't need to go out and get another goalie in my eyes

    Wrong team.

It's a big win for this season. You upgrade C and G pretty substantially. Krejci should mitigate the loss of Huberdeau down the road. I take the deal. I would like it better with Lack for a bit of insurance, but I still take it.

He rejected it as soon as Halak was traded to Buffalo. Must say I'm annoyed I didn't get Krejci but on the other hand not fussed I didn't end up with Luongo. Stalock, Talbot, Johnson and Elliott in rotation likely to do me fine as back-up to Price this season.
