Neal is pretty darn good when he's rolling. Injuries have slow him down this year but I still think he's one of the best fantasy assets to own. This is a close call but I like Neal.

This is one of those situations where it's so close that it would be helpful to use a multi-cat tool like fantasyhockeygeek.

Also think about where the holes are on your roster - position wise and category wise.

Personally, I like Toews in a keeper for his consistency. Also with +/- and Face-offs counting (and SOG not counting), I could see Toews with a slight edge in this scoring format.

In your format and with 12 teams, I would be all over Toews. The extra scoring that Neal can provide over Toews is easily absorbed by the rest of your star players. Losing out on the complete package that Toews can offer on a consistent basis (Pts, FW and +/-) will hurt you more than the extra 10-15 points that Neal can POTENTIALLY generate.

Sort of what I was thinking, pretty close call. Toews has the obvious edge in FW but Neal seems to have a good lead in a few other stats, mainly PIM and HIT.

This is very close because of the stat cats. Neal sure has that BOOM potential but Toews is a rock solid and reliable own. I guess I would flip a coin and go with Neal here because he is a W and could hit 45/45/90 in a perfect season. Super close though.

With your current roster and league settings I'd stay with Toews. Neal has the potential to put up 15-25 more points than Toews and slightly more hits, but the FW and consistency of Toews outweighs the upside of Neal. Plus, you already have some solid wingers to provide Hits and PIMs.
