Honestly, who is your most tradable asset? Is this a keeper-league? If so, you should start packaging some of those guys to obtain better keepers. Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me, but I really don't see a top 50 keeper on either offense or defense. You have some nice young assets but they are unproven still.

Who exactly was your 1st round pick? I'm just curious..

I think you're fortunate to be in 6/10, to be honest with you.

Ya, I think the notables are the players available.

The only place to really make some ground is +/- and W, and you'll likely have to give up a bit in some other categories. If all you need to do is move up into 5th, then maybe you try to get a hold of some blackhawks or something. Easiest thing to do would be to try and slot in some high +/- defensemen to gain some ground there. Otherwise you have to trade for a starting G, which can't be easy. Even if you hit 5th do you have a decent shot against the competition? My bet would be no.

When is your trade deadline? Mar 6? Re-evaluate at the end of this week, and if you haven't made any ground, then set your keepers and start shipping out some assets. Niemi/Giroux/Thorton/Rinne at first glance. Get some high picks for some of your guys and focus on next year.

Its a Keep 4, and Giroux was my first pick at 5. Last year I finished 3rd overall and ended up sticking with Niemi/Rinne/Giroux/Datsyuk.
This year, i'm not sure about anyone other than Niemi and Giroux. I agree with having a tough hill to climb to win it all, but then again it is H2H and anything can happen right?

Ideally I would love to upgrade my keepers, but i'm not sure what value some of my better players hold. I'm willing to get rid of anyone at this point.
Any past/recent trades noticed around the leagues you guys have seen that could compare to my situation?

    Appreciate the feedback
