I believe Snow was on record as telling Visnovsky he couldn't go to the Olympics because he had missed so much time with the NYI because of injury ( I doubt he could actually withhold him but I remember reading that he said it ).
He also said that he thought Okposo should have made team USA but that he would not want him to go. Right or wrong at least he has been consistant in his stance.

I watched all of the 2006 games, and it was a treat. In 2010 I took off of work to watch the gold medal game, and it was a treat. This year I got to watch most of the games, and I thoroughly enjoyed Finland. But overall, I think I would enjoy the games more if NHL players were not involved... The compete and determination levels are what make the Olympics special, and I just did not get that this year.... ( yes, for certain teams in certain games it was, but not overall to me)
