    Question Perry or Getzlaf?

In a league that counts G, A, +/-, shots, hits, blocks, shp. Who do you prefer?

Perry seems to take shots, while getzlaf takes hits and blocks. History seems to show getzlaf as the better point producer, but what about his balance? He's always been assist heavy but this year he is killing it in the goal department

Both incredible fantasy assets to own.

I like Getzlaf for his higher point upside, and I like Perry for his durability.

Without PIMs, I'd give a very slight edge to Getzlaf, but I think they're close enough that the swing factor should be based on your team's holes with respect to positions and scoring categories.

This is where Fantasy Hockey Geek comes in handy. My first thought is Getzlaf but looking at weighing all categories together and with positions mattering it's not an easy choice.

Heh! I did the same thing ED - I can only guess to pick Getzlaf here as he is pretty much playing like a guy possessed this year.

Perry is now 28. I view him slowly going down. How he goes, Getz goes.

    PPG: Years
28 on tracks for 1 PPG and 40 goals, way down on pims (not good).
    27 had 36 in 44 a .81 PPG.
26 had 98 in 82. 50 goals (his best by far)

I see both a couple years away from slowing considerable and are both a great sell high in keepers right now

gimme Perry, he's proven he can score just as much, plus he has better secondary stats and he doesn't get hurt

He's not on the decline at 28. Players have highs and lows in their career. Perry's 50-goal season should not be used as a measuring stick for anything. That was his perfect storm.

This is a very tough decision, but as a Perry owner, I'm going to stay true to my own fantasy team and tell you Perry is the right choice
