Question Kane, Seguin, Pietrangelo, OEL, can't decide

I have over analyzed to the point I can't make a decision, need help.

Have been after P.Kane for awhile now. Other G/M willing to talk if Giroux or Seguin is included.
We have also talked about OEL & Pietrangelo.

Do I go back with Pietrangelo & Seguin for OEL & P.Kane
or do I offer Pietrangelo & Giroux for OEL & Kane

    Much appreciated, thanks

I am not convinced you win either trade. Nor does the other GM. Seems a wash either way. All the guys involved play top line minutes, top PP minutes, earn similar numbers of PIM, get similar SOG. My only tipping point may be that both Seguin and Giroux are currently on weaker teams than Kane, but over time that could level out.
If you want to shake things up for the sake of shaking things up and your love for Kane, logic dictates that Giroux is an elite player and that you gotta let Seguin go.

I like the Seguin option better - still very unproven at this point. I also like OEL better long-term than Pietrangelo.

Agree with The Bottlenecker...feels like you're forcing the move.

I had all these guys (inc Giroux) on my team last year actually.

If you're dealing even numbers and not condensing talent, I expect you're not planning to change your keeper plans based on this deal, or aren't worried about it one way or the I'm not going to get into that.

What I think you'd look to do is Seguin+Pietrangelo for Kane+OEL. I think Seguin's potential is about where Kane is at already. Pietrangelo and OEL are each a different kind of consistently productive d. Both can score, but you'll fill more categories more regularly with Piets. You give up that benefit by grabbing a more known quantity on an elite offensive club in Kane. The upside is that I believe OEL has the ability to put up points in the 65+ range and coming from the backline that's a great benefit.

If I was a Kane/OEL owner, i'm not sure I'd make either of those deals. Piets and OEL are about even, and I'd rather have Kane over either Seguin or Giroux. Gun to my head, i'd move Giroux and Piets for OEL and Kane and see how that flies.
