1-0 Philly with a minute left?

    That has to hurt.

as a guy who owns E. Staal and Giroux/Voracek in different leagues it's depressing that none of them can buy a goal lately ...

but teams are just total crap underachievers ...

I watched the game tonight, it was atrocious, I felt I needed a shower afterwards. I could have spent that 2 hours doing something constructive.

Dropped Voracek, just so I could feel decent about myself. I hardly noticed he was playing.

I know its not easy to just make a move but Philly has to do something and they have to do something drastic. Sunday will be close to quarter mark and they could be eliminated from playoffs by Christmas lol. And someone massage Girouxs damaged psyche and then kick him in the ass. This is ludicrous.

I am SO glad I took Rask with my first round pick instead of Giroux.

I thought people were idiots for letting him fall to me in the second round of a 12 team league. So far they're the ones doing all the laughing now.

Can't score a goal against NJ. Oh boy.

When is something going to be done? They have 22 goals scored, by FAR the fewest in the league. That's not even 1.5 goals per game. This is beyond unacceptable and beyond embarrassing.

Wiercioch and Greening for Luke Schenn or Wayne Simmonds. Do it.

Captain Giroux left w/out talking to the media and left his teammates to talk. Awesome. I watched a bit of this game and he seems like a different player from years past. He was pushed off the puck so easily and just seem disinterested which I know isn't his style. Starting to think that teams should just stay away from handing the C to young guys. Loved that TB gave it to St.Louis rather than Stamkos.
We get one of these - Don't waste it.

At this point, is anyone on Philly safe? Would it surprise anyone if Philly and Edmonton just traded rosters?

Giroux is a very good player but needs talent around him to be a PPG player. The only time he looked to be in a top-tier was while playing with Jagr and during that lone playoff series vs. the Pens. The media and fans were punch drunk during that series when coach Laviolette called him "the best player in the world." The difference between Giroux and top players like Crosby and Stamkos is rather extreme. Giroux is a modern-day Doug Gilmour type - for a brief moment in time he looked like an elite player but he's really just a very good one.

But even last year, playing with Voracek he managed to post up point/game numbers. Sigh..

On an unrelated note, how funny is it that Lecavalier said that he thought the line brawl against Washington was a good team bonding moment...

...and then they proceeded to lose 2-1 in a horrible way against Carolina and then got shut out by New Jersey.

Tomorrow they play Edmonton. If they lose this game they should just call it quits for the year.
