Rest easy, Goligoski with an assist tonight. What a stud!

Waiting for Tequila to nickname his arse.
Hockey Pools? Too many to mention. Points only, salary cap and dynasty.

Well three points in his last six games is a positive after his Giroux like start.

    Remember this thread?

Goligoski will end up with at least 42 points this year. Good for around 18th overall for defenders.

That's two years in a row he's had s.l.o.w starts and managed to catch fire at the end.

He had 14 points in 44 games to start the year.

    That's 28 in his last 36 games!

Can he keep this up for a full year? He is at least a 40 point defender with promise for a lot, lot, more. Draft accordingly.

In fact, Goligoski hasn't been on the ice for a single 5o5 goal by the Stars yet this year. That's a reflection of their brutal play but also a reflection of bad luck. Both of these things can turn around. We are only eight games in. I'm still expecting 30 points from Gonchar and 40 from Goligoski.

What a steal that was. Del Zotto is a flea-infested dog.

Two years in a row Goligoski finished on fire. He is such a tease, and perhaps a bit underrated (in points-only leagues). I would have happily kept him, but with OEL and Fowler already, I had to cut some money somewhere, so I traded Goligoski for Stepan in my salary cap league.
    12 team, H2H, salary cap
    1 pt/G or A, 2 pts/W, 1 pt/OTL, 1 pt/SO

    Defense: J. Morrissey, A. DeAngelo, S. Gostisbehere, D. Doughty
    Goalie: T. Demko, E. Merzlikins
    Bench: M. Rossi, C. Glass, M. Maccelli, M. Dumba, K. Shattenkirk, F. Andersen
Prospects of Note: L. Stankoven, J. Lekkerimaki, D. Yurov, B. Clarke

League has been running continuously since 1997-98

Goligoski is a product of those around him. He is in a good situation being the only established offensive minded d-man on a team with a weak back-end and so he put up some points later in the season. This was more of a result of Benn and Seguin catching fire than it was anything that Gologoski did... He doesn't drive play, he has poor vision and he sucks on the PP. Still, forty points is forty points... but one of these days, the Stars will find someone better than Goli at doing these things and then you have to re-assess.
