Goli and Gonch should bounce back, but the premise of the original post - yes they have been dreadful to say the least.

I thought Dallas PP would be lethal

Goligoski hasn't looked good offensively since he was first traded to Dallas. He hasn't looked good defensively ever in Dallas. I don't think he was ever more than a 40 point third liner to begin with, but things have certainly gone down from there the last two years. Maybe a hot streak gets his confidence back, but I thinbk it is more than that. He might have put up some points last year, but that had more to do with his teammates than Goligoski actually creating offence himself. You can hope for 40 point production, but I'm not sure that you are going to get it.

Goligoski was skating with Rome and Gonchar was skating with Connauton at the Stars practice. So unless the Stars decide to roll with 7 D SOMEONE is gonna get scratched.

I like the idea of scratching Goligoski, but not this week!

I started him in my H2H league and I already have many fewer games played this week than my opponent (20-15). I need all the games I can get!

Today they have him practicing as a forward on the 4th line. They're running out of ideas with him.
We get one of these - Don't waste it.

Goligoski would be an even worse forward than defenceman.

I wonder if there is a team out there with an extra hard-nosed, stay-at-home type dman that could be shipped to Dallas to partner with Goligoski?

or, on the other hand, trade Goligoski for a stay-at-home type to pair with Gonchar and let Daley assume Goligoski's offensive role

Oh no, the Stars aren't planning on "Brent Burnsing" him are they??

Actually, Grossmann back to Dallas for Goligoski would be a good trade for them and Philly.

    Goligoski scratched tonight.

After he was scratched last year he came back in a big way. Still hopeful.

As an owner I'm oddly happy of this move jsut to light a fire.

That being said, hopefully the stars don't put together a fantastic effort without him and thus keep him scratched.

Dallas finally breaks out with 5 goals in one game, and Goligoski is a healthy scratch...

Gonchar had zero points but was a plus 2.

Now they are only a combined minus 14!!! With a whopping one point between them! Wow!

    via twitter today :

Lindy Ruff said Alex Goligoski would play one of next two games. Said he's not keen on pairing Goligoski and Gonchar.

f' sake...make a trade already. Either bring in someone you can pair with one of those two, or trade Goligoski!
