Hiller... What the Heck???

Late last night Callahan cleared waivers. My plan was to drop Hiller because he is spliting starts and pick up Callahan. But then Hiller has to go out and post a shut out. So what do I do?

Still drop Hiller for Callahan?
Drop Elliot for Callahan?
Forget about Callahan because the Rangers can't seem to score right now.

I don't really need another forward at the moment, but he is a solid player to add.
The goalie market in our league is bare, so I do have some valuable pieces. But everyone is a little sour on trading with me because I drafted so many goalies.

I still have Hiller and I can't seem to find a trade partner. I am leading my pool, and my forwards and Goalies are solid. My defense is solid, but I would like to grab another to fill in for Burns right now and others in the future. I could possibly move Hiller for Timonen, or I can just drop Hiller and pick up Goligoski. Both are sucking right now, but have 40 point potential.

Any thoughts?

Callahan isn't worthy in your league. If you counted SOG and some other stats, then I'd consider the pick up, but in points-only, Callahan isn't anything special, even if the Rangers were playing better.

Drop Elliott for Callahan - his days are done. Halak is back and not going to give much room for Elliott to find his way back in - with 4 starting goalies already you hardly need a backup.

Drop Elliott for Callahan - his days are done. Halak is back and not going to give much room for Elliott to find his way back in - with 4 starting goalies already you hardly need a backup.

dont drop elliot, that's ******ed, the Blues are one of the better defensive teams in the league with Hitchcock as their coach. Halak always gets hurt and even if he stays more or less healthy Elliot will get 25-35 starts. But also why would you ever give away your handcuff? Stupid, don't do it. if you've got too many goalies package Hallak+Elliot for a big return

hell hiller is still better than callahan in your format too...even if hiller only plays half the games do the math...lets assume modest projections...he wins only half his games and gets 3 SOs

that's 21x2 + 3x3 = 51pts

Callahan's CAREER high is 54 pts, even playing only half the games and with a very mediocre season Hiller is still the better option

It's so stupid. They are pissed that I drafted a fourth goalie(dont know why), so there is a groing sentiment that they will wait until I am forced to drop one(Hiller). One of the owners actually has no healthy goalies, and he is grabbing backups out of spite.

I would say no to Timo or Goli - I don't see them being much better than your current D. Asking for one of those guys straight up may not work but you may be able to upgrade one of your D in the process (Hiller + your least fav D for a better D).

EDIT: By "those guys" I meant those other guys (Boyle etc....).

I am wondering why you are so hot to trot to dump Hiller. The Ducks have by far and away the most off night games in the league and he is going to get tons of starts for you.
