    Cool

Him and Lupul are ulcer bait plain and simple. They're like that fatty/salty snack that you know you should stay away from but convince yourself that it's okay.....you'll only eat a couple this time....before you know it the bag is crumbsville and the shame and self loathing begins. I'm thinking of having fellow owners in my keeper league ban me from drafting, trading for, or picking up either ever again. like the habitual gambler that the casino takes a picture of and posts it at all the entrances so that security won't allow them in to fuel their habit so should my fellow poolies with Mr's Spezza and Lupul. (This year I finally got over my 3 year long Wiz dependancy cold turkey.)

I feel your pain....I thought I'd turned a bit of a corner when I finally refused to protect Gabby, Malone, M Staal, and Pitkanen this offseason until I took a flier and picked up both Briere and PMB in the final reserve rounds when we were 450 players deep. I truly am my own worst enemy. To fuel my addiction I did keep Spezza thinking with Ryan at his side he'd have his highest trade value in years. When he's healthy and goes on a tear I'll be flipping him quicker than a 15 yr old trainee does a flame broiled patty at BK.

Beyond fantasy, this is very frustrating for Senators fans.

Missing game #3 is better than missing games #4-20

Yes it is, but he never only misses one game.

I'm not disagreeing, precautionary holdouts are always better, I'm just sure it is frustrating. Wanted to provide an update to people who hadn't been expecting it.

You're missing Havlat, Hossa and Salo!

Edit: Agreed with rataylor. It's only 4 games into the season for the Nucks but being really careful with Booth seems to have worked out...as of now at least. Let's hope Spezza can play a 70+ game season.

fyi...I merged the Spezza threads. Otherwise by the end of this season we'd have 82 of these.

Not sure if he'll be back for the next game, but Spezza was at an optional practice today.

Should be good for the two games. They kept him out so he could play this weekend for sure.

Let's hope so... you sure have a lot of faith in Spezza's durability for a guy who continually disappoints us.

Before last year he averaged about 72 games per season in the NHL. That's what I would expect this year, at least.

Any update on his status tonight? He skated yesterday, but as we know that doesn't mean much.
