Just like Letang, I always look at Spezza when he's playin and think damn, wish I had him on my squad.

And then stuff like this happens and I'm like oh yeah, this is why I don't draft him.

It could happen if they move Ryan up to play with the Sens best center (Turris). While this is in jest, Turris has been lights out good so far...

True, Ryan is a great player but without a guy like Spezza, he's just good (I say 60-65 pts without, and 70-80 with).

As for Spezza himself, I think he should be fine down the road. He'll end up playing 72 games or so and have about a ppg avg.

I knew it would be a mistake drafting this guy... even in the 5th round.

Hopefully this won't be the same story all year.

    I'd say 53/47 he'll sit.

    Source: NHL

The Ottawa Sun is reporting that Ottawa Senators top-line center Jason Spezza will sit out the team's game Wednesday against the Los Angeles Kings due to a groin injury.

Spezza took the morning skate, but it appears he will miss his first game of the season.

The 30-year-old, who was named captain prior to the start of the season, has one goal in two games. He missed all but five regular-season games last season due to back surgery.

No doubt. People say Gabby's a BAB (and he is), but I can't imagine owning Spezza.
