GM Glen Sather on Rick Nash (concussion): "Obviously he's on the road to recovery. He wouldn't be skating. He still has a ways to go."

Nash says he's been symptom free for two days. Taking it day by day. Only symptom was headaches.

Beautiful. And to think I was starting to shop him around for less than market value.

Rick Nash may soon be on the way back from injury. According to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger, the New York Rangers winger skated with extras and goalies today.

Still a long way to go, let's hope you have an IR slot and few other injuries that you'd rather use it on. Best thing for him is not to rush back. That said, really looking forward to his return...that whole team may be starting to gel a little bit though in his absence now.

Not to look down the road to far or get to excited but just wondering where do you think Nash fits in the lineup. Does he bump zuccarello down and go with kreider/stepan?

    From TSN.CA

Rick Nash (concussion) may soon be on the way back to the New York Rangers' lineup.
The superstar right winger practiced and skated with the Rangers today. He has been on the team's injury list since mid-October. The Rangers have not done especially well and clearly have missed their most talented scorer. The 29-year-old suffered the injury when he was elbowed by San Jose Sharks defenseman Brad Stuart. Stuart was suspended for three games for the hit. In the three games he played this season, Nash has three assists.

to be honest i would go with a Blue Jacket line if i were them for a couple of reasons

1st tough to break up the top 2 lines the way they are playing

2nd Nash should be eased back into things

3rd i like the idea of Dorsett out there with Nash because if Dorsett is out there ****ing with their guys the other teams will focus on putting an elbow to his head instead of Nash's

4th Brassard needs at least one other offensive player on his line otherwise he is wasted

he'll get third line minutes to get his legs back under him, but you can bet that he'll be back at L1 within a few games.

maybe but if it is done because his name is Nash rather than because it is what is best for the team they will continue to be an irrelevant team like they have been for a decade and a half now

Word from Nash himself...can't find reference to it here but the author indicated elsewhere that he's expecting him to remain out until mid-December. Will keep looking.

The very latest on Nash... Shooting pucks and scoring in practice. Still needs to get in shape.
