hey guys, someone in my league is desperately shopping peka rinne. He offered me Howard and parise for rinne and pominville. I know rinne is good but his team is not. Do you think this is an upgrade? He was also willing to take holtby.

I'd stick with Howard and Parise. I don't personally see that as an upgrade.
what about if it was holtby? rinne was pretty bad last year also. Im not sure if i see him bouncing back though his team is just not great.

Which risks are you most comfortable with?
- Rinne - we tend to be questioning the Nashville lineup at this point, but that's been true for a very long time, recovering from an injury, coming off his first poor season
- Holtby - should he play well until Christmas, we'll quit questioning him so much, Washington looks decent for the foreseeable future and could return to very good?
- Howard - he's in his prime and should give a number of seasons in the .915 range. I don't think Detroit is rising. Some kids have to do a big step up to replace Dats and Zetts in the coming years, and blueline is no longer imposing...
- Parise - I believe in him more than Pominville. Playing on the same PP, each gives the other some stability. I would project Parise to lead the team in scoring.

I definitely wouldnt move Howard and Parise for Rinne and Pominville. I might consider Holtby and Parise for Rinne and Pominville though. See if you can talk him down to Hiller. Tell him Parise is a huge upgrade from Pominville and remind him how badly he hates Rinne haha.
