    Default Giroux + Pominville for Kessel + Benn ??

    Hey fellas, not for team in my sig.

    scoring is as follows:

    G = 1
    A = 1
    GWG = 1
    STP = .5
    +/- = .2
    SOG = .02

    This is a 14 team, keep 4 league, each roster is 8 Fwds, 3 Dmen, 1 Goalie, 2 Bench

    Ive been offered the following

    Giroux and Pominville

    for

    Kessel and Benn

    My team as of right now is:
    F - Kessel, Toews, Parise, Benn, Lucic, Voracek, Wheeler, MacKinnon
    D - Byfuglien, OEL, Voynov
    G - Lehtonen
    Bn - O'Reilly, Vrbata

    My initial reaction was no as I want to hang onto Kessel and I do think Benn might finally take that next step this season. On the other hand I love Giroux and own him in every keeper league I am in except this one.

    I would love to hear some other opinions please.

    Cheers, wc17

    I think Giroux and Kessel are awful close in a league like this, and in reality I would probably edge Kessel a little bit with SOG as a cat (even as a minor one). I definitely prefer Benn to Pominville, so to me I would pass.

    Pominville pretty much kills the deal for me. Kessel will at least give you superior goals and sog. I see this almost as a 2 for 1 deal to acquire Giroux. I would stay put.

    I think at first glance it might look better than in practice (Giroux's name carries that weight). I would stand pat. Kessel's pretty close to Giroux (with potential for Kessel to outproduce Giroux in the right circumstances), and Benn should be a step up on Pominville.
