Default How does Radko Gudas look so far?

Only one fight and 7 total pims.

Does it look like he'll snap any time soon?

Are the misconducts and SOGs gonna follow?

    I think he's averaging over 4 hits a game. That's a nice clip.

In a league where it only counts Goals, Assists, PIMs, +/-, SOG, and PPP is Gudas still worth using?

My D core is Schultz, Gardiner, Leddy, Wiercioch.

Maybe hold Gudas on the bench?

head-to-head or roto? What is the rest of your team? Will you be able to compete without Gudas in the PIMs category?

Gudas' prime value is in leagues that count HITs, PIMs and Blocked Shots. In your league he's really only going to put up PIMs. In the last 4 seasons the D-man leader in PIMs has put up 120, 145 (pro-rated), 198 and 190. Gudas by all accounts should be top-5 and 180 PIMs is a reasonable estimate. 180/ 82 = 2.19 PIMs/game, right now he's got 7 in 2 games or 3.5 so around the pace we expect.

If you have a lot of other bruisers then you can drop him for a more offensive d-man but if you don't you likely want to hold him to be competitive in PIMs.

I wouldn't roster Gudas solely for pims.

So he's not worth rostering just for PIM? Doesn't this depend on the depth of the league? With Letang and Josi out, I look at my WW (15-team league) and shake my head at the flakey options. At least I think I know what I'll get from Gudas. A lot of PIM and maybe a point every 4-5 games.

If OP doesn't mind a tiny thread hijack, I'll list a few:

Guys like Tyutin, Fowler, Corvo, Hamonic, Myers, Robidas, Spurgeon are on FA...E. Johnson somewhere on that list as well. It's not pretty.

Faulk or Wideman are your best guys for getting points. Forget Gudas, OP.
