Default good or bad to have 3 goalies?

I have Niemi, Ward and Schneider. Should I drop Schneider and pickup a forward?

Also was thinking of dropping Hamhuis for Trouba, thoughts?

any input is greatly appreciated thanks

If you want you can rate my team as well.

How do I give people REP?

You start 2G's per night, so yes having 3G's is absolutely necessary.

Your league is one-year league. I'd stick with Hamhuis.

I would keep the three goalies.

But I'd consider dropping hamhuis for another forward on the bench. Never been a fan of carrying a d-man on the bench

Agreed, keep 3 goalies, and don't have any D on your bench. With only 2 bench spots for skaters there will be very few days when you have a full healthy, and active roster with a healthy, active forward on the bench, and an open D spot. And those days are more than made up for with having 75+ games from a bench forward rather than a bench defenseman.

In a one year league, I agree. Stick with what you have.

Depends what the minimum goalie starts are per week. If its only 3 .... I might be inclined to say 2 goalies and have an extra forward. If your goalies are good enough, your averages would be great and you will win. However you might lose the games won category. But might be worth it if your extra forward puts you over the top on all the other offensive cats!

You should definitely have 3 goalies in a league with 2 G starts/night. Plus all three of your goalies are pretty decent so no sense dropping one of them.

I've had leagues where I've juggled 4-5 goalies at times. The match-up flexibility is a huge advantage.

Does it make sense to carry 3 goalies if the league does weekly lineup locks? No minimum starts required.

Yes... having the flexibility to start different goalies each week is huge.

You can start goalies who are hot, or sit ones who are cold. You can start ones with good schedules - good matchups, home games, 3/4 games, no back to backs, etc. It is a huge advantage.

thank you all for your advice.

There is a minimum of 3 starts total for goalies in a week. Would that make a difference if I should carry 2 or 3 goalies

I have Quick and Dubnyk. Fasth is on the wire, should I grab him? Scoring is: wins, losses, goals against, saves, shutout
