    From "The Canuck Way":

It appears Vancouver Canucks winger Alexandre Burrows is ready to return to the lineup on Monday against the Washington Capitals.

The team re-assigned forward Pascal Pelletier to the Utica Comets on Saturday morning to pave the way for Burrows’s return.

Does he usurp Kesler on the Sedin EV1/PP1 lines??

Burrows has never been much of a PP guy.

Oh right... so I guess Kesler is relatively safe on PP1. Would be nice if he stayed with them at even strength, too. Seems Tortorella likes him on the wing, and for now he'll be with the twins. I doubt it lasts long, unfortunately.

At EV1, I'd say it's almost a certainty. I'd personally like to see Tortorella give Santorelli a shot at the top line with the Sedins. Ideally it'd be Hansen but he's injured right now. I remember Santorelli getting some looks with the Sedins and he didn't look that bad there, and that would create a line of Higgins-Kesler-Burrows that would spread out some of the scoring.

On PP1 no, he won't usurp him. But what I'm personally hoping for is that this might open up Kesler to not be the guy standing in front of the net. I'd rather have Kesler's shot available on the powerplay, kind of like how Stamkos/Ovechkin set up, but I dunno we'll see.

Will Burrows get PP1 time though?

    from twitter today:

    Dan Murphy ‏@sportsnetmurph 3m
#canucks Kesler with twins versus #capitals. Burrows returns to play with Higgins/Santorelli. Bottom six: 29-15-9 / 49-13-6.

so looks like Kesler is gonna stay where he is for now, which I like as a Kesler owner.

Agreed, but unless these line combos click tonight and they play a really strong game the lines could change by the third or fourth shift. Tortorella changes lines on a whim, one time I messaging Eric what the line combos were and literally (actually literally) before I could finish typing the combinations Torts had already changed the lines.

I like how my name is thrown out there like that and it's just assumed to be me.
