What am I missing? Everytime I hear MacLean talk (pre-season & post-game last night) he is praising Da Costa.
I heard his interview last night and when asked who was good obviously he said Anderson , then Karlsson ( I think he said he played well for "both" teams ), MacArthur and then went on to praise Da Costa.

During the pre-season he always seemed to be praising his conditioning and drive. I know he doesn't have high upside but he's still only 24 and seems to have committed himself this summer to his conditioning etc. and it seems to be paying off as far as the coaches' opinion of him anyway.

Do you think he can actually become fantasy relevant?

he is one of those "better real-life than fantasy" guys. doubtful he will be relevant anytime soon.

i also dont think he'll lastteh whole season with the big club, with Zibanejad in Bingo DaCostas leash will be short...i hope.

Da Costa was praised a lot during training camp because he had a great training camp.

I think part of it is that they may also be looking to trade him at some point, and this is a good way to create a little market value for him. But he did play well, and deserved the praise.

And like finny said, he's a better real-life player than fantasy.

I don't see Da Costa being fantasy relevant in any format.

And I don't see him being in Ottawa long term either.

I think the Sens would have traded him if anybody wanted him this pre-season...
