    Default Drop Tyutin for Trouba?

Hi guys, i've got some rough D that i'm hoping to improve on.

Would you drop Carle, Tyutin, or McDonagh for Trouba.

He seems to be getting a lot of ice and pp time.

Well he is a rookie so should remain suspect until the sample size gets a little larger I think but in fact you carry little risk by using him to replace either Carle or Tyutin, so why not. I am surprised there aren't better options on FA actually - what is sitting there besides Trouba?

    Cool

As much as Tyutin is the Freddy Kruger of dmen, (Every time you think he's finally finished as a point producer he comes back and surprises you.), I wouldn't hesitate to drop him for Trouba in a keeper pool. There's so much ahead of Tyutin in Columbus, (Wiz, Johnson, Nikitin, Murray) and they can't all get hurt at the same time again can they ? His points over the past couple of years although okay around the 25-30 range haven't been outstanding and only because several others have been out of the lineup for extended periods. Trouba should be around the 20-25+ this year and he'll continue to grow over the next several years, at worst John Carlson, at best a sliding scale of Doughty to Weber. Anything more than 15pts would be a surprise out of Tyutin this season.

With those categories Hamonic is HUGE. Depends if you want to production now, in which case I go Hamonic, or if you're willing to wait, in which case you might go Trouba. Keep an eye out for reports on Hamonic though, word is he might have a concussion.

Agree in a keeper makes sense to keep Trouba over Tyutin, if you can live with the fact he may be sent down after 9 games. But I think you're lowballing Tyutin with your 15 points is a big lowball, the guy's consistently in the 30s and gets primo ice time, even PP time. I'd say he's probably a lock for 30+ again, notwithstanding Wizniewski and Johnson getting most of the PP time.

The 9 games don't apply to Trouba, he left college and can go to the Rock if req'd regardless of games played. The Jackets like Nikitin on PP2 because of his shot and with Murray on the big club it allows Fedor to play back into his comfort level. That said they did make like 17 Nightmare on Elmstreet sequels didn't they.....I guess nothing's impossible but over 20pts is very unlikely with the depth ahead of him.
