Wow, RNH is the concensus for future!
I'm in trade talk to land the 2nd overall pick. I really think I will get it.
I'm also in talk with the owner of the 1st.
If I get the 2nd, the trade would be:
My 2nd (probably Drouin) + Neal
    vs
His 1st (probably MacKinnon) + RNH
If I follow your logic, this would be a good move for me... Right?

Clear 1,2,3 and I see it being that way for awhile. RNH has the potential to pass Eberle in a few years but I don't see either passing Neal for awhile.

I would easily, easily, EASILY love to have RNH and MacKinnon in return for Drouin and Neal. Huge win.

Done deal for the 2nd overall.
    Eberle out of the equation.

So it's down to this trade:
    My Neal + 2nd overall
    vs
    His RNH + 1st overall

note: the pick (MacKinnon or Drouin) might be traded right after this trade. Shhhh... Trying to land Ovechkin...
I think the highest the pick is, the more he might accept.
I would only keep Neal or RNH.
But think about this in a keep-6: Malkin, Stamkos, Ovechkin...

    I would rank them as:

    Now:
    Neal
    Eberle
    RNH

    Future:
    Neal
    Eberle
    RNH

Neal is and always will be a point per game player while he is in Pittsburgh. He signed a long term deal so you know he isnt going anywhere. I think Eberle will be a 65-70 pt guy every year and RNH is too small and will always be injured. You wont be able to count on him.

Neal is only 26 years old. He will be good for a long time. People on this forum talk about RNH like he's going to score 100 points soon or something... let's see him play a full season first.

I feel compelled to point out the fact that RNH is bigger than Eberle.

Height-wise perhaps, but that makes him scrawnier which makes him fragile.

Pretty even between RHN and Neal...
    More opinons on that?
I know Nuge is injured to start the year, but if he's dominant for the rest of the year and after that, he could be a nice upgrade on Neal.
Neal has close to no value in my league: the "I-need-someone-else-to-get-points" symdrom.
    I don't know for RNH. He's young and he's a former 1st overall pick...

You have Malkin, so you're already hitched to his bandwagon. Might as well go for broke with Neal.

The "I-need-someone-else-to-get-points" issue is irrelevant - Neal and Malkin are both signed long term. Your league is scored on players' fantasy points, not their talent.
