Default JVR or Kunitz next 3 years

Who would you rather have for the next 3 years JVR or Kunitz?

I think JVR is the more talented player with a higher upside and he's obviously much younger. But its only for the next 3 years and Kunitz gets to play with Crosby or Malkin for at least the next 3 seasons with his extension.

    I'm really leaning towards Kunitz.

Cats are G, A, PIM, +-, PPG, PPpts, SOG.

It seems as if Kunitz has formed incredible chemistry with Crosby and is primed to be a borderline-elite winger for the next couple of years. Of course, his success is primarily contingent on Sid's health. JVR will emerge into a steady 30g/35a player IMO (and is responsible for much of his own success) but the upside of owning Kunitz is too good to pass up on now. Not to mention when Kunitz explodes over the first 15 games of the season you will be able to trade him for a player significantly better than JVR if you so choose.

    You have to take Kunitz.

There is no reason to see a decline in his production.

Even last night, Pittsburgh had a 4 to 3 power play and it was Crosby, Malkin, Letang and Kunitz... No Neal...and.... they scored on Kunitz goal from amazing pass from Sid.

Kunitz is so underrated. He his fast, see the ice well, solid accurate shot and one timer.. only 33 years old and playing with the best player in the world.

Kunitz, hands down. Playing with Sid and having obviously-great chemistry = Priceless.

It's what we've all dreamed of, isn't it?

All those times each of us drafted or traded for or picked up off the wire that one player associated with the Pens that we hoped/dreamed would somehow, some way crack the Pittsburgh Top 6 and play with Sid, or Malkin at the least. We've all been there, amiright?!

We could make a list here of all the names we've tried in that role. Could be huge. Heck, I'd riding the Pascal Dupuis wave right now in my main keeper pool -- Dupuis was my 17th and final keeper this summer, and it was a no-brainer, really. The Pens Top 6 really is The Golden Ticket of fantasy hockey!

Kunitz owners: enjoy the fruits of your labor, for your boldness and good fortune!

Kunitz just signed a bargain contract extension which is exactly what the Pens need. He's in their top-six for the foreseeable future. No worries there.

Kunitz by far. This isn't even close. Kunitz should provide top production playing with Crosby where as JVR has never showed real consistency. Kunitz by a ridiculous landslide.
