Default Waiver Wire: does Thomas help me win now?

In a 12 GM keep 12 dynasty league:

Skaters – G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, SHP, SOG, FW, GWG, Hits, BS
    Goalies – W, L, SO, GAA, Save%, SV

My goalies are Quick,Varlamov, Ward, and Ramo.
I drafted Ramo in 3rd rd of the redraft because I was in a rebuild and didnt have Quick. Thru a series of trades(one was acquiring Quick), I'm now more in line to compete now.

I have top waiver priority and Thomas is sitting on WW(Jokinen is too, but Thomas will have a bigger chance to help a team,IMO)....So would you drop Ramo(who played lights out last preseason game) for Thomas? Last thought: Thomas should perform better than Ramo in all cats but Saves.

    Cool

I'd like to see Thomas perform at least in 1 game first before making a true assesment if he's an upgrade over Ramo, or more importantly Markstrom. That said Fla will probably have better goalie stats this year than Calg so I'd pick their starter as my 4th goalie if I was faced with that decision. All said, the slight upgrade between the two may not be as beneficial to you for whoever else is available on the WW as an upgrade to your existing roster. Without seeing your roster and whoever else is available on the WW it's tough to make a solid judgement. Jokinen riding with Malkin/Neal certainly is appealing however and he did gain Blysma's confidence with his play filling in for Sid last year so he may actually stick around on that wing more often than not. Even part time could be 50pts....full time could be 65+. Hope this helps.
