    Default Fasth VS Lindback

    Hi!

In a keeper league, salary cap, 2 pts/win, 3 extra pts for SO, starts 2/night, I will keep Rinne and Bernier, but I'm not sure about my other two goalies, Fasth and Lindback...

Should I keep both or only one? Lindback only cost 1.8$, Fasth 2.9$,

    Thanks!!

I would go with Fasth. Lindback has not proven that he will hold onto a starter role. While Fasth splits time, I think he will get more starts and wins than Lindback.

Fasth is the better goalie IMO. I am high on both but aside from short stretches of brilliance in a backup role we have not seen anything from Lindback.

Lindback is on a poor defensive team and has never been a starter for more than a few weeks at a time. Plus, his body control is not ideal. He seems too large to play net at times. Fasth, on the other hand, is more experienced overall, and was brilliant for weeks/months at a time last year. The defense in front of him is better too.

I like Fasth. Anaheim signed him to a two year deal, knowing that it will take them 1 year past Hiller (who is UFA this year). And next year, Fasth will be earning "starting goalie" money. So in a keeper, I roll the dice, and hope that next year it's Fasth as starter and Andersen as back up.
