14-team roto increased to 15 this year... where would you draft goalies now??

Kinda crazy...This season there will be 15 teams, and with 2 goalies each, that's a minimum of 30 goalies gone already. For some reason my league goes crazy early on goalies too so expect 2nd-3rd string backups to be gone in mid-late rounds. What would you guys do differently in a situation like this?? Last year I took a gamble and took Halak/Varlamov in the later rounds..... that totally bit me in the ass..heh

From 14 to 15 teams I don't think the strategy changes much for you and I don't think the draft will unfold any differently. It's only a couple extra goalies owned.

Minimum of 2 goalies tells me that teams may roster more than 2 goalies. With this being Roto, you need good goalies. Unless you are the first 4 to pick, I would start with a Goalie. Worst case, a Goalie in Round 2 if you start with a forward.

I do agree with Eric that 14 to 15 team move should not change draft strategy all that much, but in a Roto I don't like the idea of leaving your first Goalie till mid to late rounds.

If picking first 4 or 5 - Round 1: Forward, Round 2: Goalie 1, Round 4 or 5: Goalie 2 (depending on goalie run)
If picking 6 - 12 - Round 1: Goalie 1, Round 4 or 5: Goalie 2
