If you got the depth to take a chance, I'd skip straight to Mackinnon for the sole purpose of making him a keeper.
This is a 12 team limited keeper. It’s multi-cat with categories like G, A, PPG, PPA, SHP, Hits, Blks, SOG, PIMS, +/-, FOWs.
So far my keepers are Alex Ovechkin, Evgeni Malkin, Claude Giroux, Evander Kane, Taylor Hall, Tyler Seguin, P.K. Subban, Dion Phaneuf, and Oliver Ekman-Larsson up front.
So how would you rank these players?

I think you can afford to reach for a stud keeper like MacKinnon with the highest upside. That team is ridiculous btw, how do you get Malkin, Giroux, Ovi, and Hall in a 12 team keeper?. Lots of other multi-cat studs there too....uless your goaltending is a disaster, I don't see you having many issues in this league.

D: Karlsson, Hedman, Muzzin, Savard, Streit (IR)
G: Lundqvist, Quick, Condon
In a limited keeper, when it gets down to bench/depth picks, I tend to gamble on players with upside/breakout potential over more middling players that will be guaranteed drops at the end of the season... especially if its a salary league. Depending on the situation, I would possibly slot Granlund near the middle of the list or all the way near the bottom.

My goalies are Pavelec and Hiller (nothing special). Thanks, I worked hard to make those trades net me all of those guys. I had Stamkos, but he was involved in the Ovi trade.
I won 2 seasons ago, and I've come in 2nd place like 3 times and this last year was the first time I came in third in this league. So I'm a perennial contender.

We have FOWs and Giroux is my only guy who really gets any that I've kept. Malkin gets a few. So I kind of need to pick with that in mind as well.

Taking into account immediate production vs future upside, I'd say:
