Default Pick my last H2H keeper: Seguin or Voracek?

Yahoo H2H 12-team keeper, we keep 8 each year. 3 player Farm.
    G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, SHP, FW; GS, W, GAA, SV%, SHO.

    LW: Benn(LW), J.Jokinen(C,LW), Thornton(LW)
    C: Giroux(C,RW), Malkin(C,RW), Seguin(C,RW)
    RW: Ovechkin(RW), Voracek(RW), Gagner(C,RW), Ott(RW)
    D: Yandle, Campbell, Wiercioch, McDonaugh
    G: Lundqvist, Crawford

    Farm:
    Holtby, Lehner, Markstrom

In BOLD are my current 7 Keeper picks.

Need help picking my 8th and final Keeper. Comes down to Seguin vs Voracek. I've owned Seguin since drafting him, while I picked up Voracek last summer at our dispersal draft. So I am sentimental/leaning toward Seguin, though Voracek put up MUCH greater numbers in the shortened season. Seguin's C/RW eligibility is a plus over Voracek too, especially with Yahoo giving Ovechkin the RW designation only this year. But not sure what to expect from Seguin in Dallas now, while Voracek will spend another season skating alongside Giroux in Philly.

Another wild card is my goalie situation. I've won 3 of the last 4 titles in this league, while running with King Henrick in goal, with Crawford alongside as my 2nd keeper goalie. But I have a golden trio of Holtby, Lehner and Markstrom in my 3 Farm slots. They can be called up anytime thru the season. Our league allows a player to be kept on the farm, and thus free from needing to take up a keeper slot, until they've played 2 seasons with 25 NHL games played each. So would anyone be tempted to just keep 1 goalie (Lundqvist), allowing me to keep both Seguin and Voracek? Crawford was gold last year with the amazing season Chicago had. Not sure if any of Holtby, Lehner or Markstrom are ready to step up and put up better numbers across the board than Crawford.

    Thanks for input!

I'd lean towards Seguin over Voracek. I'd definitely keep Crawford. Any chance you could package 2 players together to upgrade your last keeper?

Seguin. You can move anyone of your C's to RW and collect more FW. Keep Crawford. Good team and good goalie.

Could you trade Crawford for draft pick(s)? And if so, could you protect both Seguin and Voracek, and then at puck drop bring up Holtby to be your 2nd goalie?

Yes, that would be the scenario were I to trade Crawford.

I love Holtby in WSH, but I worry more about Holtby losing starts to Neuvirth than I do Crawford losing starts to old man Khabi. Lehner will only back up Anderson, and Markstrom is a question mark on a bad Florida team.

I'd at least see what the return is on Crawford. For starters, you gain either Seguin or Voracek. Plus whatever you get in return for him. That could be worth the downgrade to Holtby. [You'd also open up another keeper prospect spot.]

Even though it might not make sense in the end, why not at least see what you could get for Crawford. Maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised...

If it ain't broke, don't fix it....you've won 3 out of the last 4 league titles so I'd keep your group together and would probably also go with Seguin as the last keeper.

do you need to keep a dman?

First of all, kudos on having Malkin, Ovie, Giroux AND Landiqvist in your team. No wonder you are making mincemeat of your opposition more often than not!

For sure I would keep Crawford as Goalie 2. Between the 2, it's really a tough call. The 2 are just 1 point apart in terms of Dobber's Draft Guide projections. Also, with either guys, you could take advantage of having a skilled line mate in your roster (Benn in case of Seguin, Giroux in case of Voracek). Personally, I would go with Seguin (4th year, new team/new contract, Line 1 minutes, Face offs being a category).

    Best of luck.

I don't have to keep a d-man, no. Have always just done that....old habits, and such.

Hmmm. Interesting strategy in a H2H. What do other folks think?

I'll be drafting 12th in the draft. Should be some real solid d-men available, given the history of our draft being that most guys take a top-forward-available tack in the 1st Round. Might even be able to draft Yandle back at #12.

Thought I'd give an update to this, as we had our Draft last night.

So I decided to make Seguin and Voracek my final 2 keepers, letting Yandle go. That made my 8 keepers: Malkin, Ovechkin, Giroux, Benn, Seguin, Voracek, Lundqvist & Crawford.

12-team league and I drafted last every round; can't believe who fell to me in the 1st Round...!

    My draft picks, by round:
    1. Drouin (LW)
    2. M.Richards (C,LW)
    3. Del Zotto (D)
    4. Burns (D,RW)
    5. Ott (C,LW)
    6. Voynov (D)
    7. Thomas (G)
    8. Hartnell (LW)
    9. O'Reilly (C,LW)
    10. Faulk (D)

Drouin. Beyond psyched to land him. Unreal. Was pretty psyched to land the 4 d-men I did to fill out my blueline slots. Del Zotto, Burns with dual-eligibility, Voynov and Faulk. Nabbing Thomas in the 7th solidifies my goalie corps. The generous dual-eligibility in the Yahoo system gives me alot of flexibility each night. Drouin will go on my Farm for 2 seasons.

So here's my opening day roster:

    LW: Benn(LW), Drouin(LW), Hartnell(LW), O'Reilly(C,LW)
    C: Giroux(C,RW), Malkin(C,RW), M.Richards(C,LW), Ott(C,LW)
    RW: Ovechkin(RW), Voracek(RW), Seguin(C,RW)
D: Del Zotto, Burns(D,RW), Voynov, Faulk
    G: Lundqvist, Crawford, Thomas

    Farm:
    Holtby, Lehner, Markstrom
