Theres probably only 4 or 5 Dmen I would want to own over Keith Yandle, and Green and Phaneuf aren't one of them.
Yandle for me.
I'm in a semi-keeper league, and while there's considerable emphasis on goaltending and all teams typically keep 2 goaltenders, I think I'm going to cut Halak loose and keep one of my defensemen. Skater categories - G, A, P, PPP, +/-, GWG.
Green seems like the player with the highest ceiling, but there are all sorts of question marks with his durability, changes to the Caps system since he last thrived, etc. Part of me is leaning this way, but part of me fears I'm living in the past.
Yandle seems like the safest pick, but with him being less provocative he seems more likely to slide a little in the draft, to a place where I may be able to get him back. He seems like the other frontrunner, but safe is death sometimes, no?
Then there's Phaneuf. A little sketchy on the ice, but he can be a fantasy hockey monster. Trouble is, his role could diminish as he competes with all sorts of other budding Buds in Toronto.
Who do you like? Why? Thanks in advance.

It's a tough choice given his injury history but if I'm not keeping Halak in place of a defenseman, it's going to be Mike Green. Green is much more valuable in this format. Sometimes you take a gamble on the more injury prone player and I think this season in this instance, you go Green.
Thanks all! I just realized I accidentally posted this in the wrong forum. Mods, feel free to move.
