The Classic: A (Low-Maintenance) One-Year League

FREE LEAGUE to join, draft date set as Tuesday, September 17th, 9pm EST.
All are welcome to join. 20 Teams Maximum. [11 Teams Currently Joined, as of Sept 16.]

Concept:
1. "The Classic" is to be a themed pool basic on "Classic Rock" groups, songs, or singers.
You must name your team after something associated with pre-1995 rock.

2. The pool will be very simple:
i) Straight points. G=1, A=1, W=2, SO=3.
ii) Standings based. Not head-to-head.

3. Rosters will be very simple:
9 Forwards, 4 Defense, 2 Goalie + 3 bench slots... yes, just 3.
All players are subjected to a "Games Limit", 82 games per player.

4. Transactions.
i) No trading. (Don't give me shit about this.)
ii) Standard waivers.
iii) You can make daily roster moves, though with a max. games per position, you don't have to.
*This is intended as a low-maintenance pool.

5. Awards... what do you mean?
It's bragging rights.

I changed my team name to Fleetwood Mac-kinnon.

As a low-maintenance pool, there's very little effort.

Hey Pengwin, as the draft is scheduled for next week, are you going to push for the maximum 20 teams or will you accept a minimum number? I'm working on my pre-rankings so this could make a difference. Thanks.

We'll draft with as many teams as are signed up.
I wish I could guarantee 20... but work has gotten busy and I don't have enough time to do door-to-door invites of the league.

Surprisingly... there isn't a lot of interest in the free leagues I've set up so far (Classic & Tier III).

I've noticed, that's a shame. I've refreshed the Entry league thread - it needs a ramblings push and perhaps put into the classifieds section.

Still only 8 and the draft is coming soon. I would think 12 as a minimum, and perhaps increase the roster size. Not sure we'll get there, though. Thoughts?

But a smaller roster size like 6F/4D is probably still fine.
Maybe 8F/4D, if people are up for it.
