Can keep any 7. Decided against rinne. Too many comparable goalies will be available in draft. Price, niemi, holtby, Anderson, fleury to name a few. And most of the top defenceman are protected.

I'm about 90% sure OEL will be my #7 keeper as if right now.

You said earlier that you were concerned mostly about this year. But now you're saying OEL will likely be your 7th keeper.

If that's the case, then you have to go for OEL. I can't imagine Kronwall would be a keeper for you in the league setup that you have. The upside OEL has is massive.

That being said, if you're actually mostly focussed on this year I'd suggest Kronwall.

He's the bonafide #1 D option in Detroit. The Wings are in a new conference with FAR less travel then in the West, and (at least I think) will score a shit-ton in the higher-scoring Eastern conference. I'm betting on Kronwall pushing close to 50 this coming season. He had 29 in 48 last year, which prorates to 49 for a full season...and Kronwall fell off like mad in the final part of the season. The lesser travel/easier sked will help him and the veteran Wings a lot. Plus/minus is a bit concerning, but I think (due to the reasons above) that Kronwall is a + player this season.

OEL could put up big numbers, and could help a bit on the +/- front. But he's still behind Yandle, and the Coyotes will still be a defense-first team.

Lol your valid points just make it harder.

Was leaning towards OEL because they seem very comparable and he has more keeper value but kronwall has more to work with and their pp should be deadly.

I think I can land drouin in the draft this and than make him my number 7 keeper next year.

Kronwall only had 5 more points in this scoring setting that OEL last year. In fact kronwall ranked 25th among d. Goofy settings had mark Fraser higher than both. So it's hard to predict

Either way my goal will be to get the other with my first pick in our draft at 12th overall.

I guess the question of kronwall and OEL who is more likely to get drafted first? Maybe kronwall due to name value? Therefore keep him and hope OEL makes it to me at 12?

    I agree.

I don't know why people think OEL will do better with Yandle gone. They need each other to flourish.

This year and beyond I take OEL.

And to all that think that Phx will move Yandle..WTF would they do that? To give OEL more ice-time and more PP time? Haha as if...you'd be nuts to move a top tier d-man unless his salary demands are outrageous.Yandle is staying.

You know, I'd think OEL goes higher in a keeper draft due to the ridiculous upside. But who knows, right?

Funny after all that debate I went back to keeping Rinne.

And the draft went surprisingly well, should win again. Team in sig. Dobber followers shouldn't do pools with family, just not fair lol.
