    Default Burns vs Green

Well since it is confirmed on yahoo that Burns is a RW/D I'm stuck on who to pick between Burns and Green. Is Burns worth the gamble? Is he going to stay on the wing? Who do you prefer. Keeper league.

Score settings: G, A, +/-, PPP, SHP, GWG, hits and blocked shots.

Everything is pointing to Burns playing on the RW while being eligible for D. (He'll probably man a point on one of the PP units).

Select Burns over Green here. Green and his injury history makes him a bit of a wild card but if you can have Burns on your D he'll be putting up ~60pts which means he'll be a top 5 in that position.

Burns as long as the eligiblity remains for the duration of the season. Minimum 50 pts max 70 pts. Good multi-cat. Green is riskier and his potential isn't higher then Burns playing forwards. Only risk is Burns being reverted to D, but even then expect minimum 40 pts.

Burns will produce more this season since he will be playing forward. However, if this is his last season eligible on d then I like Green as the longterm keeper.

green ended the season very nicely in terms of points per game. burns will out point as a forward. my only concern would be yahoo taking away the 'D'. if burns ends up being only a rw then id rather green. if burns plays rw and is a defense for your fantasy team , then i like burns.
both have major risks involved. id probably go with burns though.

Going against the grain here and I'll say it, Green will score as many if not more points than Burns, even if Burns plays offense.

Furthermore, Burns will not remain RW/D for more than a year, so, as mentioned before, as a long term keeper, he is not a solution.

Seems like Dobber agrees with me, when I look at the guide's production!

Without too much difficulty, it's Green for me. Even with Burns at forward, Green might just outpoint him! Sure he's an injury risk, get over it...he's baaaaack baby!

Green for me too. And since everyone is warning you about Green's injury risk, keep in mind that Burns finds himself on the disabled list quite often. The last couple of seasons he played a lot, but before that he was frequently out of the lineup.

Plus, this is a keeper league. You never know if he retains the D eligibility next year (though Buff still has RW eligibility years after he stopped being a forward). If Burns becomes a 50-60 point RW on yahoo, Green has far more value.

I love both players, but I say you have to go with Green.
    10-team Keeper. Everyone keeps 12 + 1 G + 3 "young keepers" (players with less than 164 NHL games played), and 1G. Points for G (2), A (2), PIM (.2), Hit (.2), Blk (.2) SHP(1), W(4), SO(8) Must dress 4C, 4LW, 4RW, 6D, 2G

C - Crosby, Backstrom, Kuznetsov, Eichel, Johansen
LW - E. Kane, Drouin, Schenn, Miller, Foligno, Zucker
RW - Wheeler, Stone, Lindholm, Oshie, Tolvanen
D - Karlsson, Carlson, Dumba, Nurse, Ceci, Pionk, Larsson, Montour
G - Murray, Quick, Koskinen, Blackwood, Georgiev

    Minors - Turcotte, Bouchard, Kaprizov

Yup - very much a Green subscriber here. Don't get blinded by Burns dual eligibility - yes it increases his value but Green can post points in the 70's if things work alright - Burns can't.

I'd go with Green here instead of gambling on Burns playing forward.
