    I had a friend who played hockey in Bahrain and he was treated like a star. He certainly wasn't an amazing hockey player, but compared to locals in the desert he was pretty amazing. He could kinda skate haha.

    Not to mention that travel is not nearly as bad as it is in the NHL. Max travel distance between cities is like 200km.
