    Hello,
Who do you prefer between Horton or Downie?
    Keeper, points only.

    Thanks for the advice.

Horton for me. He'll be given every opportunity to be successful in Columbus. Downie's value mainly comes from combining points and hits, and is more suited for multi-cat leagues.

Points only, Horton. Even with his injury he will probably finish with more points than Downie.

Horton in pts only. As stated, all of Downie's value is in multicat.

Calm down bro. Downie's upside was never above 50 points. Now he's coming off a major injury, and has fallen down the depth chart with the additions of Mackinnon and Tanguay. He's not even a top-6 winger anymore. Horton is first line, more proven, and will be given every opportunity to produce. So yes, DEFINITELY Horton it is the EASY, CLEAR CUT choice.

If I have to choose between those two in a points only league, I would take my chance with Horton. He will definitely get the better linemates and PP time compared to Downie. I don't trust either player but I trust Horton's opportunity more then I do Downie's.

    Horton for me.

that is nonsense, what do you have a crystal ball?

he is coming over major shoulder surgery...

he won't even play until after xmas...and his style of play lends itself to reinjuring that shoulder

Downie had major knee surgery, you can say the same about him...

Above...that was the question. Who do you prefer between those 2 in a points only keeper league?

You're "DEFINITE" Rant has seved the OP nothing of value what so ever. Instead of latching on to terms like "DEFINITE" and suggesting people "CHECK YO HEAD", I'd encourage you to try and contribute sompthing positive and of value to the thread as per th OP's request(Like you have in other revent posts). The other contributors are answering the question and attempting to support their opinion (whether you/I/We agree with it or not)

You clearly have a strong point of view, so I'm interested, as I'm sure the OP is, who would you select and why in a points only keeper?

    Thanks man.

    Its not complicated really...

when a player suffers a devastating injury that requires major surgery its always a crap shoot...so no, there is definitely nothing DEFINITE about it!

they could both come back 100%...in which case sure Horton has the advantage

or one or the other could suffer continual problems and be forced into early retirement...if it can happen to Bobby Orr it can happen to the likes of Nathan Horton or Steve Downie

throwing words like that around serves no one...certainly not the guy asking the original question
