The only player to put up more points than Jason Spezza is Sidney Crosby

    Mwahaha!
Hahaha... very clever. Let's say the minimal value is zero.

I think truely ridiculous forecasts should be given outlier values.

"Crosby gets 250 points" should be worth 10 points at least!

    1: At least 5 of last year's top 10 point-getters will have a lower points/game this year.
2: At least three of last year's 6 division winners will have a lower winning percentage.
3: The top two seeds in each conference (Pitt, Montreal, Chicago, Anaheim) will all have a lower conference seed this time.
4: The bottom two seeds in each conference (Tampa, Florida, Nashville, Colorado) will all have a higher conference seed this time.

1- Nail Yakupov has a sophomore slump and scores less than 35 points.
2- The Calgary Flames get within 5 points of the last playoff spot.
3- Lars Eller is the top scoring Canadiens.
4- The tandem of Bernier/Reimer combine for a GAA over 2.90.
5- Neither of last year's Final Four (Chicago, Pittsburgh, Boston and Los Angeles) make it this year.

Jason Collins wasn't signed by a team when he came out too. So I guess no pro athletes from the big 4 have come out then.

He played last year and is still trying to play. Avery has officially retired and hasn't played any hockey in more than a year. That makes him a former player, and Collins a current player.

Former player, current player, retired, free agent. Same thing.
The point of it all is that famous male athletes are standing up for gay rights /coming out themselves. This wasn't happening 10 years ago.

I agree with the point of it all. But this was talking about when you said a player would come out, does Avery count since he is no longer a player.
