Seguin + 14th Pick for Duchene + 2nd pick

I have been in conversation with the GM owning the 2nd overall pick. He said he will trade Duchene and 2nd overall pick for Seguin and the 14th overall. The catch is Duchene is $34 and Seguin is $9, either draft pick would be $2. With the rules below and my salary currently at $201. Would you accept this trade? I would still need to bid for a good LW and maybe RW. I am in win now mode as well.

The rules for the league are:

I like Duchene better than Seguin long term and you net yourself an upgrade in the pick. I like the deal. The cost won't hurt you all that much. I do this.

Considering how low your salary currently is, I think its a no-brainer. I like Duchene more than Seguin and you get a much higher pick.

You should do this deal 100%. No. 110%, it's that legit.

Your team will be much better off. If it comes to a crunch I would drop Fillpula or Hodgson to make that trade.

Picking second you'll probably get Drouin and if you feel you need left wing well, problem solved!

I'd do Seguin + 14th for just Duchene. Adding 2nd makes this way one sided.

Absolutely. Duchene is at least on par with Seguin, but that 2nd pick is a huge upgrade over the 14th. Even with the need to add two wingers, I still think you should be in great shape to improve your team by a substantial margin.

Well thanks everyone for the input. He has now back tracked, so either he read this or was just pissing around. I will let you know of further talks as he says he will move one of his other C's instead. HAHAHA! Damn it!

So the C he has that he would now move instead, is Little. That is a drop off for sure, but is it worth the gamble to get one of MacKinnon or Drouin?
Basically it would be Little(9) + 2nd OA pick for my Seguin(9) + 14th OA pick.

He does own Turris(6) and Henrique(6) as well.

Fast Tony, the salaries are decided by an auction where out of the 128 players dropped every year, we bid on the top 64 players. The remaining players, the players that were drafted this year by a NHL team and the remaining players in CBS database are drafted.

He reduced the offer by a substantial amount. If you he thought it was close before, then this can't be close. Tell him if Duchene turns into Little then Seguin turns into Atkinson and see what he says.
