If you want another 10 inch one, I would wait for the next Nexus 10 from Google. The Nexus 7 is the best buy right now if you want a smaller tablet. Best screen on any tablet besides iPad 4. https://play.google.com/store/device...6gb_2013&hl=en
Had an Acer A500 and loved it, but it met its demise yesterday with a drop from a second floor set of stairs, so I'm in the market for a new one.
However, I don't want to pay an obscene amount of money for one (sorry Apple). Anyone have suggestions for a good cheap tablet with at least 16 GBs? I use it mostly for apps, web surfing and keeping the kids entertained at restaurants with some of their favourite shows on it.

Thanks Big Ev. The 10-inch one is a little out of my price range. Looking for a model in the $200-$300 group.

I don't think they make them any more, but the BlackBerry Playbook...steer clear. I bought one a couple years back and while it's served it's purpose, I'd never buy another. I agree with Ev...I've heard good things. Having had 3 apple products, I believe 1 day I will upgrade to the Ipad...be it Full size or mini. But for now...I'll manage with the old PB and Iphone.
Best of luck. (I'll come revisit this thread when I'm in the market a couple years down.
We got the amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9" screen this year.
This was our first tablet in our house.
I think we paid around $250.
Love it.
The #1 use is for entertaining my three-year old (soon to be four).
It is incredible how user-friendly the "finger-drag" touch-screen games are for toddlers these days.
They catch on so fast.
I'd guess that all tablets have access to the same games... so I can't comment on other tablets in comparison.
Screen is very good and web surfing is pretty solid.
We now have probably 30-40 kid's games (at $0, $1, or $2 each) on the "Fire" and it has been great to give the wife & I a break while the little one entertains herself.
Angry Birds is also good on this.
Where's My Water is a fun game too that I ended up playing a lot myself.
Kindle Fire is basically useless if you're in Canada, though.
