Default The Curious Case of Cam Fowler

Well...that didn't take long. With Souray gone for 5 - 6 months, essentially the rest of 2013 (likely...Christmas)... how does that impact Fowler's progression in his career.

I've been trying to find a reason to keep him and while I think I still place Streit and Burns ahead of him in the quest for my final Keeper D, Perhaps he moves up on my list of D to Draft.

I think Fowler was already projected as a top 2 pairing and potential PPQB. With Souray gone...does this change anyone's thoughts on Fowler for 2013/14?

I don't think Souray changes anything from Fowler's perspective. Maybe it hurts him in a sense that he doesn't have a guy with a huge slapper next to him. The Ducks are not great on the puck moving D front so Fowler would have received opportunities regardless. Suckitis can take him out of the PP mix regardless of Souray's health.

From a points only perspective, I think of Fowler as I do EJ or JBo. 30-40 points, with huge wasted potential. He should easily be expected to be at about 45 points by now; that's not the case.

Now we know why Fowler dropped in the draft even though most pegged him as top 5.

Does Burns still have D eligibility? In every site I've heard of he's a RW.

This will be the test for Fowler. Either he bounces back, and lives up to his potential, or he moves into the ''could've been'' category.

I could see value, if you don't over pay, or drop someone who has shown the ability to add value to your roster.

i've lost all faith in Fowler. He may or may not bounce back this year. But i'll not be owning him if he does.

There are few players more volatile than Fowler. Huge boom or bust capability for him. I wouldn't have confidence pegging him for anything right now.

Many forget that he´s only 21 year old. He had 40 points as a rookie followed by 29 in his sophomore year.

I still believe in Fowler, i will not write him off before he turns 23, an age where somer other young defender found their game and started having pretty consistent numbers.

I tried to trade for Fowler in some league, unfortunately non of his owner has lost hope yet. For me he´s still a very good buy low candidate.
