Ouch!Sheldon Souray suffered torn ligament in right wrist while working out July 17. He had surgery July 25. Expected to be out 4-to-6 months.

Vatanen now has better chances of making the team from the training camp.

Looks like they added Fistric. Shouldn't hurt Vatanen, but will add depth.
I think Sbisa might become a bit of a sleeper for 2013-14 especially in leagues that count hits and blocked shots. He'll probably get 2nd unit PP duties now too.

Probably not much of a difference to Fowler at all. Fowler already got more PP-TOI last year than Souray so his PP-duties likely won't increase with this injury. Vatanen is the more likely beneficiary as he now has better chances to crack the roster and there's Souray's PP-role available for him as well.
Fowler had a poor season and should improve next season but I wouldn't expect this injury to have an effect on him. He should be improving because he's a year older and more experienced now so it should be more of a natural progression as a young talented player than about him benefiting from Souray's injury. Also he can't really get any worse than he was last year.
