    Default Rank these D men

    Hi Gents,
    Looking for a little help.
I have forth overall pick this year - team in sig- I traded Hedman and the 9th overall to try and move up and grab Jones.
Been trying to get #3 as well. I'm going to give up as he said he wouldn't trade it straight up for Kopitar. And no, I didn't make that offer.
But seeing how he's valuing the picks, I wonder if I could use #4 to get one of his top D.
    They are:
    Dumba
    Fowler
    Shattenkirk
    Schultz
    Seabrook
    Trouba
    Brodin
    Emelin
    M. Irwin
I think my primary target should be Shultz. But, failing that whom should I target?
Of course, there's Jones and Nurse. Also Ceci is available.

Would love to hear what you guys think

Shattenkirk, Schultz and Trouba are the best three of the bunch. Assuming it's for the league in your sig. Seabrook also has some value because of hits and BS but seeing as they only count for .1, his value isn't that high.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

Schultz first I agree. If you are drafting 4th and in need of D, then Jones becomes obvious. If you want to trade for one of the dmen you listed and Shultz fails then I would go for Shatty or Trouba. Dumba has some upside but is somewhat risky. Fowler is still young and is Anaheim's top guy.

Shattenkirk should be first on the list, followed by Schultz and Jones.

Schultz just played 48 games so far and his upside isnīt any higher than Shattenkirkīs who was around 0.5 points 3 years in a row and will still get better.

Iīd take the proven guy over the hyped guy here, although itīs close.

Agree with Dennis here. Schultz still has much to prove so I think Shats is #1.

    Shats
    Schultz
    Jones
    Trouba

Really like Trouba's game so If you wind up with any of those 4 I think I would be happy

    Schultz
    Shattenkirk

    Jones
    Trouba

It's really close but I'd take Schultz over Shattenkirk. I think they have the same upside but one play for Edmonton the other for St.Louis.

    Thinking long-term, I'd rank them:

    1. Schultz
    2. Jones
    3. Shattenkirk
    4. Trouba
    5. Ceci / Dumba

Schultz has the chops and upside to be a 60 point D-Man in the Bigs. Jones isn't far behind with 53-60 point skills. Shatty is a steady diet of 42-50 and Trouba will be a multi-tool stud who will one day dish out 40-45+ as well.

The wildcards here are Ceci & Dumba. Both could emerge as surprise 45-50 point talents within 3-4 years (which is a long time in fantasy play).
    8-GM / WK-H2H
    Forwards: G=2, A=1, PP/SH= +1, GWG= +2, Shootout G=1, HT= +1
    D-Men/Captain: G=3/A=2
    Goalies: W=3, OTL=1, SO= +2, SV= .10

    Start = 13F, 6D, 2G / Keep 44 (3G)
    Captain: Matthews
(F): MacKinnon, Pasta, Marner, Rantanen, Malkin, Barkov, M.Tkachuk, W.Nylander, Pettersson, Gaudreau, Laine, Keller, Miller, B.Tkachuk, Stutzle, DeBrincat, L.Raymond, K.Johnson, Cozens, Quinn, Guenther, Kulich, Cooley
(D): Makar, Dahlin, Q.Hughes, Ekblad, Rielly, Werenski, Letang, Jones, Chychrun,

Does any of this discussion change now that Souray is out in Anaheim for an extended period? I'm just wondering how much this will boost Fowler's stats as I'm sure his leash on the PP just got a lot longer.
