Yep, captain Serious whinypoutyface got to lift the cup anyway, but not thanks to his play against Detroit. His team pulled him out of that affair because he was just about pure shit in that series.

Haha! You're funny!Take off those rose-colored glasses and watch how badly Toews played for the majority of that series, especially the meltdown in game four. If pointing out that he wasn't exactly god's gift to hockey captaining in that series constitutes being a "garbage troll", then fine, I'm a garbage troll. But it's not, and I'm not. Sure, he got a little emotional in Game 4, but that doesn't trump the rest of his already incredible career. He'd be a phenomenal choice for Team Canada.
I was honestly upset with the way Toews handled himself in game 4 of that series and I thought it was over. He pulled himself up in the next game and went back to what makes him an effective player and Chicago won the series against the odds. Toews is human, like every great captain in the game. I think a huge turning point in that series was when Seabrook went to talk to him in the box after the third penalty in a row... a man is not an island, and a captain can only be judged by how his teammates rally behind him.Haha!
