    Default Ramo?

So, last season I was reading some ramblings and I saw this guy Kari Ramo mentioned. I had seen him mentioned before but I thought he was owned in both of my leagues, however, I decided to check anyway and I found out that he was actually available in one of my leagues so I scooped him up. Then came a long summer of brutal non-paid internship service and a 3 hr every 2 week stupid seminar class with it and 20 hrs/week of work so I sorta stopped paying attention to hockey but I heard over that time period that Ramo was going to take over the starting gig.

So I'm sorta out of the loop here with Ramo and I'd like to get your opinions on him and what you think he will do this season.

Ramo should be just ok. He and McD will probably do a 60/40 split. The problem is that the Flames are going to be terrible... You could probably get better production out of a lot of backup goalies on stronger teams.

Yeah...certainly worth stashing if you have room, but I wouldn't expect him to help you too much this year, simply because he and the rest of the Abbottsford Heat are going to have a tough time against NHL competition.

His contract says he will play. I don't think it generates good numbers though.

Ramo may get decent SV%, but I think that's about it.

I don't have much faith in Karri Ramo moving forward...and I have him stashed on one of my dynasty keeper league team's as well. I will say Ramo was once thought of pretty highly by Tampa Bay and if he wouldn't have gone to the KHL who knows what could have happened?

Calgary is likely a bottom of the league finisher this season so regardless how many games he plays he probably doesn't produce very good counting stats.

Reto Berra was also signed to a one-way, one-year contract..so he will also be in the mix to compete with Ramo and McD

Berra signed one year entry-level contract so it's a two-way deal.

As much as people may or may not like Ramo I think it's undeniable that his opportunity is at a level that is rarely offered to prospects. I still don't think he'll be very good this year but having a foot in the door is huge. From there you never know.
