Any chance you could post (copy/paste) the first 6 rounds?
    How many teams?

Goalie drafting in "weekly-lock" ROTO leagues is a completely different beast from "daily" leagues or H2H leagues.

I've got 13th draft spot in the PRO-Campbell and I'm really banging my head on the wall to try to figure out skater vs. goalie at picks 13/14 & 16 (2nd round).

I'll try to post tomorrow if Steve doesn't today. There were 16 teams, and suffice it to say lots of goalies were selected within the first 6 rounds, what with goalie categories comprising 33% of stats and each team dressing 2. I ended up taking Ward in round 4 and Emery in round 5, to give you an idea.

Can you do the first two rounds maybe? from the Yahoo Draft Central tab?
    Pretty please.

Yup - it wasn't what I'd expected at all. I was hoping to get Niemi or Howard in round 2 (21st overall pick). But after it became clear what was happening I pivoted and grabbed Giroux for the dual position flexibility and PPP, and another multi-cat dman in round 3, deferring my goalie picks (which ended up being Ward, Emery, Tim Thomas, Greiss) later. My team doesn't seem to be in the top tier on paper, but you never know. We'll let the forum readers decide once the full results are posted here and/or in the Guide.

Yes, it's 'snooze you lose' when it comes to goalies in this draft. Based on previous years, woe to those who didn't take care of their net.

I drafted Rinne in round 1 and Hiller in round 5.

Very happy with my team this year. I grabbed Rask in round 1 and then Anderson in round 2 (much earlier than I ever would have suspected taking Anderson - but knew it was my last opportunity to get a quality goalie and there were lots of quality skaters available for me next round). I also snagged Lehner for insurance...because with Anderson's health, you just never know...

Here's my full team...I'm sure we'll post narratives/analysis at some point.

Yup, being a weekly start league make the steady and playing a lot goalies more valuable. That's why. I picked Lundy with the 5th overall (after the big 4) and I grabbed Miller in the 3rd round. I might have been able to still get a decent 2nd in the 4th, but I decided not to risk missing it.

My full team is below. Not loving my lack of proven scorers (and three Blue Jacket forwards - EGADS!), but I figure if Thomas sticks I can trade a goalie and/or one of my two stud d-men to improve in that area.

    Claude Giroux Phi - C,RW
    Mike Richards LA - C,LW
    Marcus Johansson Was - C
    Shawn Matthias Fla - C
    Dany Heatley Min - LW,RW
    Jakob Silfverberg Anh - LW,RW
    Mikkel Boedker Pho - LW
    Justin Abdelkader Det - LW,RW
    Marian Gaborik Cls - RW
    Troy Brouwer Was - RW
    Cam Atkinson Cls - RW
    Brian Gionta Mon - RW
    Dustin Byfuglien Wpg - RW,D
    Paul Martin Pit - D
    Torey Krug Bos - D
    Michael Stone Pho - D
    Matt Irwin SJ - D
    Dmitry Orlov Was - D
    P.K. Subban Mon - D
    Mark Letestu Cls - C
    Sean Couturier Phi - C
    Cam Ward Car - G
    Ray Emery Phi - G
    Tim Thomas Fla - G
    Thomas Greiss Pho - G

I was actually thinking of grabbing a goalie in the 3rd and Miller was the last of his kind on my list. After he went I knew it would be dumb to reach for a guy that isn't a workhorse.

My thinking exactly, which is why I waited until the 4th to grab Ward, who, if he stays healthy, figures to again be among the top 5 in saves and should collect a fair share of wins along the way.

I only ended up having the guy I wanted taken 1-2 picks in front of me twice, once with Dan Hamhuis in the 13th (I took Paul Martin) and the other with Ryan Malone in the 21st (I took Gionta). So either that means I was lucky, or my picks were bad, or the people around me made bad picks. But considering how good Laidlaw's team looks and the fact that he picked right before or after me every round, I'm thinking I might've been the one who drafted poorly.

Yeah, to me it was either Miller or Dubnyk (and Ward was close) when I picked Miller. Dubnyk has been picked early in the 5th, so I might have been able to take him with my 4th round pick. However, only god knows which goalies would have been taken instead if I would have picked a forward (probably Brown) in the 3rd round.

Guys I wanted have been taken 1-5 picks in front of me a lot of time during the draft and like FHG was saying to me this morning, there's no clear cut ahead of the pack team on paper so it'll be a close competition!!!

Meh, I'm in another league with Laidlaw. It looks good on paper and then it crumbles.
