Trades I'm actually proud of!

Made 2 trades at the deadline in my 14 team, keep 20 league and I'm actually proud of them.

With Butler losing 1B eligibility at the beginning of next season, I had to make a move for another first baseman. One owner had Fielder and Chris Davis and asked me what I would give up for Fielder. I told him to send me an offer consisting of a package of these guys:

Medlen, Gallardo, Granderson, Arcia, Appel, Butler, Iglesias, Smoak, Sandoval, Cishek, Kluber, Brad Miller, Alex Wood and Rafael Montero.

Some noticeable names on there, some I wouldn't have even considered asking for if I were him. I ended up trading Appel, Arcia and Kluber for Fielder. And this guy is in 5th place! He is in no way a rebuilder right now.

While I love all 3 of those guys and Fielder is having a down year, I had to do it. I'm making a run for the money this year and needed someone other than Smoak or Butler at 1B to start next year lol


The second trade that felt more like a real life baseball move was my Maikel Franco (3B prospect, Phillies) for an owner's Grant Balfour. The owner is well out of contention for a playoff spot and is looking towards next year. I told him that Balfour may end up only being a rental - I have no idea if I'm going to be able to keep him next year - but that it made sense for both sides. I think his 3B is Aramis Ramirez

Of course....the Athletics have completely shit the bed since I acquired him lol Did not see that coming.

LOL...that's funny. And sorry...I was on a Hockey Rant this morning. I overlooked this was posted in the Ball forum.

I think the funniest posts this year (along these lines) was all the talk about Tavares or Myers

I'm thinking...how on earth is Myers being compared to Johnny T.

I just made 2 trades at my deadline that I really like in my 24 team dynasty! The first one came early on when I was offered his Kendrick for my josh Rutledge and scooter gennett. A healthy howie helps me a lot so hopefully he's back as soon as he's eligible. Then I finalized a deal right around 11:00pm where I got Shelby miller and Jordan lyles for cashner, beachy, Ackley and Matt Skole. I'm a big fan of Shelby even if he's getting shit down early! But maybe with the way Washington lost after shutting down straus they'll keep him going? One can dream!
