Default Cory Schneider in keeper league?

What do you think is realistic for future of Schneider both short & long term?

I think 40-50 games this year, then will become elite starter 60+ games per once Brodeur retires....?

    Thoughts?

    Yes, 50-55 starts this year.
65 starts in future years (when Brodeur retires).

Wins will be tough to come by though.
New Jersey is playing in a tough division and they are bad.

I'd say he'll win 40%-45% of his games.

New Jersey is not a playoff team.

Tough to really predict the future but I think he'll be an average to above average starter after this season. It really depends how good NJ is.

I traded for Cory Schneider recently on the belief that he will be a well above average starting goalie in the NHL. New Jersey doesn't look in great shape right now but Schneider's periphials (sample size and all) are amazing and he definately passes the eye test. New Jersey hasn't typically been bad for long under Lamerello so I have some faith he will be able to turn around that situation.

I know I am probably in the minority here but I see Marty playing a majority of the games and as long as he is not losing them games based on his play I don't see Schneider starting more than Marty. Marty is a legend and I just don't see anyone no mater how good taking his job unless he is awful. In my opinion as long as Marty is in a Devils uniform he will start most of the games until he retires. Its just to hard for me to imagine Marty taking a back seat to anybody.

I'm with you on this, I think it'll be about a 60/40 split favoring Brodeur. He's Martin FREAKING Brodeur.

I'm also unsure what to do with Schneider. I kept him last year because I thought that he would eventually be the #1 goalie in Vancouver this coming season. But now, with the trade to New Jersey, he lost a lot of his appeal. In a limited keeper league (we keep 9 players), is he still a keeper?

    Cool

HRM fantasy fan, needs to post more,
But I agree totally, it is Marty's job to lose....
I see a 25/75% percent split, unless Brodeur wants sometime etween starts which I doubt he'd say.LOL

How quickly the mighty have fallen. Schneids is borderline keeper material if at all in a limited keeper. It's unfortunate, but thank Gilles for that. Porous D and little offense requires the almighty Brodeur to lead them for yet another year.
