Default Yakupov vs. Benn & Stepan

I have both Benn and Stepan.

Another GM has mentioned he'd move Yakupov for one of those guys. Details not worked out.

I know on Dobbers top 300 list Yak isn't ranked as high but I think, in my point only league, he won't be to far off next year and probably surpass both player,in a few years. Just thought I'd get an outside view.

I'd move Stepan for Yakupov without blinking. I would probably move Benn for Yakupov also...

Agreed. But I prefer Benn over Yak for the next two years at least.

Yak for Stepan would be a solid deal if you could pull that one off.

I do think both will put up similar numbers this year.
Hockey Pools? Too many to mention. Points only, salary cap and dynasty.

Yakupov is by far the most valuable longterm. Do whatever you can to get Yak for one of those 2. If he doesn't care which, I'd move Stepan.

Yea. I'd definitely prefer to move Stepan as opposed to Benn. Seguin in Dallas bumps Benn up a tier

Point only I would keep Benn and Yak very close. Have to remember that Yak has to compete with Hall, RNH, Eberle for points.... So even if the talent is there the ice time and opportunity to score is more difficult. Stepan is a great player but a step behind for scoring... It is closer than most people think though.

Do you want to win this year or in 3 years?

    This year:
    Benn > Stepan > Yak

    Long-term (2-3 years)
    Yak > Benn > Stepan

It looks like Yak is going to be on the 2nd line again this year with Perron and Gagner. No offense to either of those players, but they aren't Hall, RNH, or Eberle.
Oilers are in a tough division this year (ANH, CAL, LA, PHO, SJ, VAN) -- Calgary will be last in the division but after that -- the Oilers are in rough shape. They can't compete with the size and compete nature (forward, defense, goaltending) that ANH, LA, PHO, SJ, VAN brings.

    Default not this year

I think we're two seasons from seeing any big pts output from Yak. Step is 1c and he and Callahan really clicked. Step is by far the better choice this season and next.

that sums it up, are you looking to compete to win this yaer? if so I would stand pat. If not, try to get stepan plus a pick for yak.

I like Stepan, but he skated 21min/game last year and shot 16.7%.
BOTH are a little higher than reasonable to repeat.

    Sell him.
